HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting


HLTAID012 replaced HLTAID004 as the nationally recognised unit of competency for Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting in 2021
Stitches First Aids Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting Course is developed to train participants with the knowledge and skills to respond to a wide range of life threatening emergencies including:
- Providing CPR
- Asthma
- Anaphylaxis
- Bleeding
- Shock
- Choking
- Envenomation (Snake Bite)
- Drowning
- Diabetes
- Burns
- Eye Injuries
- Fractures & Soft tissue injuries
- Head, Neck & Spinal Injuries
- Seizures
- Stroke
- Hypo/Hyperthermia
This course applies to all people who need this qualification for their employment. HLTAID012 is the course required for employees in the early learning and outside school hours care (OSHC) sector.
Course Duration – 6 Hours (delivery over multiple sessions available)
