First Aid at Home

Home is a special place, unfortunately the home is the most common place to be injured.

20% of people ring friends, neighbours, relatives or local doctors before ringing ‘000’.

First aid at home is important for anyone. Parents, older siblings, grandparents, guardians, aunts and uncles are all valuable people to share first aid knowledge and skills with.

First aid provides the initial and immediate attention to a person suffering an injury or illness. In extreme cases, a quick first aid response could mean the difference between life and death. In many cases, first aid can reduce the severity of the injury or illness. A quick and professional first aid response also calms the injured person, reducing unnecessary stress and anxiety.

All courses provided by Stitches First Aid Education have a core of information which will empower you as the first aider.
